  • Jay Collier - Melbourne

    Founder

    Jay Collier is a renowned photographic educator and tour leader from Melbourne Australia.

    Jay has a long standing career in the Australian photographic industry having worked with some of the industries biggest brands including 14 years at Canon Australia as the Victorian Consumer Experience Manager for Canon Collective and being responsible for producing and hosting thousands of workshops across Australia and internationally.

    After leaving Canon Australia in August 2020, Jay has since launched Lake Eyre From The Air after running similar tours while at Canon for 4 years as well as launching The Photography Co alongside his partners Greg Sullavan in QLD and Scott Stramyk in NSW to deliver the best photographic workshops and experiences available drawing from many years of experience.

    Jay also previously held positions managing Canon Professional Services (CPS) at Canon Australia as well as Nikon professional Services (NPS) along with working in sales for both Olympus and Kodak which has led to Jay’s extremely diverse knowledge of all forms of photography and his ability to teach at all levels from beginners to advanced professionals.

    Jay is best known for his work guiding African photographic safaris over the past 18 years since 2004 working with none other than C4 photo Safaris in South Africa to deliver premium photo safaris. Jays knowledge and experience across Africa far out reaches those of any other photo tour companies here in Australia having hosted guests at many of Africas most renowned lodges in South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Madagascar as well as Antarctica and Australia’s Kakadu and surrounding areas.

  • Scott Stramyk - Sydney

    Founder

    Scott Stramyk is known in the photography industry as a highly skilled and versatile photographer who has been sharing his knowledge through educational workshops and photo tours alongside some of the best in the industry. He is a Sydney based photographer who started his career as a studio portrait and wedding photographer. His desire to break down the walls of the studio grew as his passion for travel took over. By traversing the globe and immersing himself in the culture, Scott is always looking for and capturing special moments that shed light on the uniqueness of the land and people around him. Throughout his career, he has managed photography studios and a wedding photography business. He then shifted gears into supporting photographers and hosting close to a thousand photographic workshops, events and tours arounds Australia and Internationally for Canon Australia as one of their Ambassadors. Scott has now teamed up with Jay Collier and Greg Sullavan to establish "Photographers Collective" and to provide you with Australia's best photographic workshops and tours.

  • Greg Sullavan - Brisbane

    Founder

    Acclaimed photographic educator and award winning photographer, Greg Sullavan brings the creative spirit of an artist to every shoot. With a comprehensive understanding of the world’s best imaging equipment, Greg has inspired thousands to pursue their passion for photography as an ambassador for Canon Australia.

    A graduate of the prestigious Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of photography, Greg is now the director of Sunburst Studio and community mentor with the Photographers Collective. Having won numerous awards at state. national and international level, Greg is a Double Master of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and qualified photographic judge.

    Greg has built a studio in his bayside home of Wellington Point and specialises in corporate portraits, PR & Events, Pet portraits, editing, colour management and fine-art printing. One of Greg’s specialities is leading photographic experiences, off the beaten track in Central and Eastern Europe including Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia Herzegovina.

Is an initiative by renowned Australian photographers, educators and photographic tour leaders Jay Collier, Greg Sullavan, and Scott Stramyk (all formerly Canon Collective / Canon Australia) offering industry leading photography workshops, experiences and tours in Australia and overseas.

With over 50 years of combined experience in the professional photographic industry, Jay, Greg & Scott, pride themselves on providing quality workshops, tours, education and experiences that are unmatched anywhere else.

Covering vast range of photographic topics, workshops are held regularly throughout the year mainly in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane where our staff are based full-time.
